About Me

5mkg5dsiCarson is a NYC-based entertainment journalist, with experience in editing, reporting, and writing. Currently he is full-time freelance, contributing to outlets like InStyle and IMDb.com and is the managing editor of ScottFeinberg.com — the site led by Scott Feinberg, lead awards analyst for The Hollywood Reporter.

Previously, Carson spent three years at Wetpaint.com, where he worked his way up to associate editor. While at Wetpaint.com, he wrote about all things entertainment, interviewed everyone from Real Housewives to Grammy and Golden Globe winners, covered red carpets, and professionally obsessed about TV.

Carson is a UNC-Chapel Hill graduate with a B.A. in both Journalism (specialization in reporting) and English literature. He served as the arts editor of The Daily Tar Heel (having been assistant arts editor, assistant design editor, and arts writer in the past) and was the co-president of CAFME (Carolina Association of Future Magazine Editors) — his university’s chapter of Ed2010. In 2012, Carson interned at TV Guide Magazine as part of the ASME (American Society of Magazine Editors) program.
